Without a doubt, the mighty polar bear lives in the crosshairs of climate change. Because the environment they thrive in has been so dramatically altered by global warming, these magnificent creatures have been classified as a vulnerable species.

In recognition of the frigid weather which is affecting the northeastern United States, I was compelled to draw a polar bear. It's a nice companion piece to another drawing I did in December (below). Prints of this piece are available here!
Here's a drawing on a map of the the Arctic regions. This is part of a series called World Tour - in which all the pieces are drawn on vintage maps. I was studying this map, and it seemed to be telling me to draw a polar bear on it. So I did! Signed prints are available here!
